
Sandra Olszewski
Sandra is a retired educator with 35 years of service in the private and public
educational system. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in World Languages and a
Master’s degree in Linguistics and Education.
Sandra taught bilingual education for 10 years in Texas and New Mexico before
moving to California where she taught high school Spanish and French for 25 years.
In California, her volunteer activities included equine therapy, ART MIX events,
Block by Block art pop-ups and art education programs for preschoolers for the
Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. Sandra also was a member of the board for
the Latino Center of Arts & Culture in Sacramento.
Sandra moved to Albuquerque in fall 2021. Since then her volunteer activities include
Vital Spaces Art Closet, museum docent at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, AARP
Tax Aide and member of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) teaching Spanish at 2
senior community centers in Albuquerque. She also works art exhibit openings and
public program events at SITE Santa Fe Museum. Sandra also tutors private Spanish
sessions to all levels of Spanish learners in Albuquerque.
