3140 Cerrillos is Vital Spaces’ newest creative space, a working space designed for artists, creatives, and community members to make, meet, learn, and connect. It’s active, social, and intentionally built for cross-pollination, community and presence.
Located on Cerrillos Road, 3140 brings Vital Spaces’ mission into a more accessible, everyday part of Santa Fe, creating a place where art, work, and community overlap naturally.
What happens here
3140 is a multi-use ecosystem that includes:

A community consignment shop featuring local makers

Gallery and exhibition space with rotating shows and pop-ups

Artists work here. Classes and programs happen here. Community members drop in for supplies, conversations, or exhibitions. It’s a place where things are always in motion.
How it’s different
3140 is designed as a shared environment, not a collection of isolated rentals. You’ll hear music, see projects in progress, bump into collaborators, and feel the energy of people making things side by side. We protect people’s ability to work and invite life into the building.
This space also supports Vital Spaces’ long-running programs like the Community Art Closet, youth and teen programming, exhibitions, classes and pop-up markets making the building a daily resource.
Why it matters
Santa Fe’s rising real estate costs make space one of the biggest barriers for creatives. 3140 Cerrillos is a practical response: affordable, flexible, and grounded in real use. It creates access not just to space, but to relationships, tools, and opportunities.
3140 is part of a larger ecosystem led by Vital Spaces, connecting studios, performance spaces, programs, and partnerships across the city all rooted in the belief that when artists have space, communities thrive.
