Unhoused Art

Participating Shelters in Santa Fe

-

Community, classes and resources for Santa Fe’s artists without homes.

Unhoused Art*  is a program dedicated to providing supplies, opportunity and connection to artists and community members in Santa Fe who are homeless or unhoused.

Bi-weekly workshops are led by local artists with an established artistic practice across six shelters in Santa Fe. Since classes started again at the end of July, over 375 community members have been served!

If you are an unhoused artist  seeking supplies, support or gallery opportunities, please contact Kieran, our program director: kieran@vitalspaces.org.

Our program strives to be the most effective, compassionate, inclusive and educated version of itself. If there is something we have overlooked in serving our community, your thoughts, ideas and experience are very welcome.

We are looking for volunteer community members to lead our workshops in 2026. Vital Spaces covers the cost of materials. If this opportunity is of interest to you, please send us an email and let’s have a coffee!

Community means ALL of us!

*Unhoused Art was initially started by Ryan Williams and given to Vital Spaces in 2024 so that it could serve more people. Thank you Ryan.
