Offering support and opportunity for Santa Fe’s artists without homes

Unhoused Art was initially founded by Ryan Williams. In 2024, Ryan offered his program to Vital Spaces so that more of the community could be served. Currently, Unhoused Art offers six classes every other week to shelters across Santa Fe and seeks to curate four gallery shows per year, showcasing artists from the program and the unhoused community in Santa Fe.
Unhoused Art also offers art supplies, promotion and residency opportunities. If your organization is interested in classes, please contact us. If you are an unhoused artist, seeking supplies, support or residency opportunities, please contact Kieran (link to my email), our program director.

Our program strives to be the most effective, compassionate, inclusive and educated version of itself. If there is something we could be doing better or something we have overlooked in serving our community, your thoughts, ideas and experience are welcome.

We are always looking for teachers to lead our workshops. Vital Spaces covers the cost of materials associated with the workshop and the instructor is offered a $50 per class stipend. If this opportunity is of interest to you, please email us. All teachers are welcome!

If you are an artist who has participated in the program previously, or is looking for your art, please contact Kieran at UnhousedArt@VitalSpaces.org
