Tallie Segel has spent the last 20 years working as an environmental educator: teaching kids, training volunteers, and supporting educators with research and strategy work. She is passionate about teaching and developing curriculum in ways that celebrate the voices of youth, cultural and community relationships to the land and biological diversity, and possibilities these offer for a more just and sustainable future.
Home for Tallie is Albuquerque though she loves living up north in the Latir mountains (Questa, NM) and currently lives even further north near Montreal, Quebec, Canada. These days, Tallie works on research in environmental education, designs programs for her university’s Black Perspectives Office, facilitates equity and inclusion training, and spends as much time as possible outside (in all weather!).
