Growing up in Pecos, New Mexico, was a blessing that deeply shaped my identity. My childhood was defined by a close connection to nature and water, as well as time spent with my father hunting, fishing, and visiting the flea markets in Tesuque and Santa Fe.
My father was also a highly talented construction worker with a unique creative vision, particularly in his glass block work. I grew up assisting him on job sites and mixing cement for his creations. I like to think I inherited his unique eye, which I now apply to my own workâputting paint where it ain’t. In addition to my visual art, dance remains a significant part of who I am.
In Service of ARTists
Vital Spaces supports local, emerging & BIPOC artists and is inclusive of artists of all ages, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, and countries of origin. By providing affordable space, we provide venues for artists who might not otherwise know one another to come together in community and collaboration. We work to share this collaborative energy with the broader Santa Fe public through our programming.
